FAQ
Questions, answered
Do I need an account to create a recipe?
No. You can build a recipe, choose a background and see the finished page without signing in, and you can buy a single download the same way. Signing in with Google, Facebook, Apple or an email and password saves every recipe to your account, so your cards are there whenever you come back and on any device you sign in on.
What page sizes can I download?
US Letter 8.5 × 11 inches and its landscape version, A4, A5, Half Letter, 8 × 10 photo, 6 × 9 book, 5 × 7 recipe card and an 8 × 8 square print. You choose the size when you create the recipe and you can change it again on any download.
What file formats do I get?
PDF for printing, JPG for sharing and PNG for the highest quality. Every file is rendered at 300 dpi, which is what a print shop wants for a sharp page.
How is RecipeDF different from a recipe generator or a meal planning app?
Those tools help you choose what to cook, save a collection or plan a week of meals. RecipeDF starts where they leave off: you bring the recipe — typed in, or written for you by our AI writer — and RecipeDF designs it onto a themed page and renders it print-ready. Many people keep using their favourite recipe app and come here for the pages they want to print, frame or gift.
Is RecipeDF a subscription?
No. There is no recurring plan and nothing to cancel. You can create recipes, choose styles and preview finished pages for free, and a single purchase unlocks the clean, watermark-free download of a page. Packs simply buy several unlocks at a lower price each.
Why is there a watermark on my preview?
The watermark lets you see and share your finished page for free. It is removed automatically the moment you purchase a download, and your clean files appear on My Recipes straight away.
How does the pack pricing work?
Your first clean page is $1, one-time special. After that a single page is $2.99 per recipe, the Family Week 5 is $9.99 ($2.00 per recipe), the Holiday Book 10 is $16.99 ($1.70 per recipe), the Cookbook 25 is $29.99 ($1.20 per recipe) and the Pro Collection 50 is $49.99 ($1.00 per recipe). Packs never expire, and any unlocks left over are applied to your next recipes automatically.
Will long recipes fit on one page?
Yes. RecipeDF sizes the type to the page and trims anything that will not fit, so a recipe always lands on a single page without text overlapping other text. Very long instruction lists may be shortened at the end to keep the page clean.
How does the AI recipe writer work?
Type a dish or a whole category, such as "a hearty autumn stew" or "Thai street food", and RecipeDF writes the name, times, ingredients and steps, then picks a background that suits it. You can edit every field afterwards.
Can I delete a recipe?
Yes. Open any recipe on My Recipes and choose Delete recipe. It is removed from your account immediately.
Are the backgrounds good enough to print?
Yes — this is the point of the app. All twenty backgrounds, the photographic kitchens and the simple illustrated, linen, floral and paper sets, are high resolution and made for print. Your page is laid out so nothing spills or overlaps, then rendered at 300 dpi, which is the resolution a print shop asks for. What you see on screen is what comes off the printer.
Is checkout secure?
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details never touch RecipeDF, and you can pay without creating an account.
